WEB2.0 TOOLS: USING GLOGSTER AND ANIMOTO IN THE CLASSROOM

Abstract:
This workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in how to use internet tools being used in some primary school classrooms - Glogster and Animoto
. It doesn't matter if you use PC or Mac because the way these tools are used is just the same (but please note the laptops you will be using on the day are Macs). We will be looking at the "how to use" aspect of these programmes as well as the "why" would you use them in your classroom. A very hands on session!

I am currently a Year 2 teacher and ICT/e-Learning Leader from Nelson Central School. In my 7th year of teaching I have always taught at junior levels, from Years 1 - 3. Throughout the last 4 years, I have enjoyed exploring the possibilities of web 2.0 with my students and pushing the boundaries of what 5, 6 & 7 year olds are capable of - little kids can "do" ICT too!
